On May 23, 1890, the chapel cornerstone was laid. Smith Chapel was the center of life at a time when travel was slow - by horse and wagon. A church in what now Great Falls village was a long distance. It was built to be the community gathering and worshiping spot in this northwest neighborhood. It remains that today, open to residents from much further away than when it first opened its doors. We hope you feel at home here and adopt us as your church family. We'll be more than happy to share the amazing love of Jesus Christ with you! God's steadfast love endures forever (Psalm 136)!
The film, “Clayride: A Gallop Through United Methodist History” is a clever, fun presentation of 200 years of Methodist history set to music and Claymation. The project was produced in 1984 for The Church’s Bicentennial. Thirty years later, it’s still a YouTube favorite with confirmation classes and members of the United Methodist Church. This channel is managed by United Methodist Communications in Nashville, TN.
