Methodist has been a vibrant, loving congregation nestled among the
mighty oaks of Great Falls since 1890when the family of Jesse and
Lucine Smith devoted their life to this church. Though passersby may not notice all that’s happening, we are doing great things in the name of Christ. Over the years, we have established ourselves as an historic chapel providing a beautiful, quaint setting for couples to exchange vows and begin their new life together.
We actively support many missions, but continually look for ways to be involved in the community and faithfully minister God’s word. We truly are a family here at Smith Chapel. We invite you to join the experience yourself to be a part of the wonderful things the Lord is doing here through our little church in the woods…it’s like coming home.

Our new gazebo was installed late last summer. It was the culmination of an agonizing two year project that was all but pronounced dead at one point. However, as He often does, the Lord intervened.A small crew led by Glen Sjoblom had the structure installed, wired, and ready for use by our annual "Songs for Danny" concert. As Glen likes to say, "Lord Fairfax was not very cooperative, but the Lord Jesus had other ideas." We
agree.The gazebo serves as our bandstand for outdoor concerts. In addition, we will use it for outdoor services, picnics, and group Bible studies. It's also good for small weddings or private quiet times. The setting, in a small grove of 100 year old oaks, is ideal.
